Happy Thanksgiving to our gospel music family
Philippians (NIV) 4: 6 Do not be anxious about
anything, but in every situation, by prayer and
petition, with thanksgiving, present your
requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which
transcends all understanding, will guard your
hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
"Praise ye the Lord. O give thanks unto the
Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth
forever." (Psalm 106:1)
It
is a blessing to reflect on what the first
thanksgiving celebration was really all about.
Just as it is today, it focused on praises to
God! The Pilgrims that landed at Plymouth Rock
celebrated thankfully in reverence to God who
they credited with their blessings and their
hardships. Giving thanks is the way to find
peace in our hearts because when we are truly
thankful to God, we are expressing our trust in
Him.
During our celebrations with family and friends,
may we say a special prayer for our military
personnel and their families. Let us also
remember those experiencing so many dire
circumstances today, including the sick, the
bereaved, the homeless, those who experienced
storms, floods, fires, tornadoes, hurricanes,
earthquakes and other catastrophes. We pray for
strength for them to endure as they attempt to
rebuild their lives. May we have the gift of
sharing in our hearts and recognize those less
fortunate in ways that we are able to do.
There is nothing greater than the prayer of
giving sincere thanks and praises to God. We are
living in a blessed nation and proudly worship
our Creator. Thanks be to God!
Thanksgiving Day is the perfect opportunity to
remind all of you how special you are to The
Harvesters and how much you mean to us.
“Blest be the
ties that bind our hearts in Christian love.”
Have a Blessed Thanksgiving,
Danny, Allen, Mark, Tommy
